Dr. Bunting was born in Selbyville and grew up in Dagsboro, Delaware. She graduated from Indian River High School in 1982 and from the University of Delaware in 1987. She received her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Temple University School of Dentistry in 1991 where she also taught in the Operative Dentistry, Pathology, and Emergency departments. After graduation and induction into the National Dental Honor Society, OKU, she completed the General Practice Residency at Wilmington Hospital in 1992. Dr. Bunting practiced for over ten years in a group practice in Dover and then Georgetown, Delaware. In 2003, she started this solo practice in Milford, Delaware. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Delaware State Dental Society and the Kent-Sussex Dental Society.
She served on the Delaware State Board of Dentistry and Dental Hygiene and has been featured in DELAWARE TODAY magazine multiple times as one of the Top Dentists in Delaware. Since she and her husband became aware that their son had autism, she has also been very active in autism advocacy and fundraising for groups such as Autism Delaware. She and her husband and son live on a farm in Greenwood and enjoy quiet summers on the Delaware Bay in their Slaughter Beach cottage.
Dr. Andrea N. Puddicombe
Dr. Puddicombe grew up in Harrington, Delaware. After graduating from Lake Forest High School in 2000, she achieved a Magna Cum Laude as a Biology Major/ Chemistry Minor at Salisbury University in 2004. After graduation, Dr. Puddicombe moved to
Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she received her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in 2008 . After moving back to Delaware and completing the General Practice Residency at Christiana Care Hospital in 2009, she began private practice here at Diamond State Dentistry and became a partner in 2014. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Delaware State Dental Society, and the Kent-Sussex Dental Society, and has been featured in DELAWARE TODAY magazine multiple times as one of the Top Cosmetic and General Dentists in Delaware. Dr. Puddicombe enjoys working with children and volunteers her time each year for Give Kids A Smile. When not practicing dentistry, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters, going to the beach, practicing yoga, and traveling. She currently resides in Lewes with her family.
Dr. Philip O. Sels
Dr. Philip O. Sels was born and raised in the Milford-Felton area and is the son of Willy Sels and Milford pediatrician, Dr. Teresa Keller. After graduation in 2004 from St. Thomas More Academy, he attended Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania where he achieved
a B.S. in Biology and a Minor in Studio Art in 2008. Dr. Sels received his D.M.D. Degree from Temple University School of Dentistry in 2012 and completed a General Practice Residency at Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown in 2013.
He joined Diamond State Dentistry in 2013 and became a partner in
2017. He is a member of the American Dental Society, the Delaware State Dental Society and the Kent-Sussex Dental Society as the Vice-President and has been featured in DELAWARE TODAY magazine many times as one of Top General Dentists in Delaware.
He enjoys all aspects of dentistry and performs most procedures including the placement and restoration of implants. Dr. Sels has an avid interest in planes and flying. He and his family currently reside in Magnolia and they enjoy time on the beach, boating and fishing, and entertaining friends.
Dr. Halleh Asadpour
Dr. Halleh Asadpour was born in the suburbs of Houston, Texas but was raised in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. She attended Temple University where she first received her B.S. in Biology in 2007 and then continued on as an "Owl" at Temple's Kornberg School of Dentistry and earned her D.M.D. degree in 2012. She completed a General Practice Residency at Virtua Dental Center in Camden,
New Jersey in 2013, was then in private practice, and joined Diamond State Dentistry as an associate dentist in 2017. Dr. Asadpour is a member of the American Dental Association, the Delaware State Dental Society, and the Kent-Sussex Dental Society. She has been featured in DELAWARE TODAY magazine in 2022 and 2023 as one of the Top Dentists in Delaware. She continues to take continuing education courses in all aspects of dentistry and has plenty of experience treating young children and easing the anxious dental patient. When she is not busy with dentistry, Dr. Asadpour is an avid traveler and continues
to enjoy learning about different cultures. When she and her husband are not traveling, they spend their time serving their local neighborhood community and visiting with family and close friends.
Dr. Mara E. Shindell
Dr. Shindell was born and raised in Silver Spring, MD.
She graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2009 with a major in cell biology and molecular genetics and a minor in French studies. Dr. Shindell spent
the next two years working for the Department of Defense assisting research projects on traumatic brain injury in Bethesda, MD. She then moved up to Baltimore and completed
her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 2015. After graduation she moved to Toledo, OH to complete an Advanced Education In
General Dentistry Residency program. Dr. Shindell has been practicing general dentistry in private practice since then, first in New Mexico and then back here on the eastern
shore. Dr. Shindell is an active member of the American Dental Association and Maryland State Dental Association. She is the secretary of the Eastern Shore Dental Society, president of the Cambridge Dental Study Club and has been featured in DELAWARE TODAY magazine in 2022 and 2023 as one of the Top Dentists in Delaware. In 2022, after obtaining many hours of continuing dental education hours and passing a rigorous and comprehensive exam, she achieved Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. She resides in Berlin, MD with her family and
enjoys spending time outdoors with them at the park, biking and watching live music.
