Invisalign:
Invisalign uses a series of custom-made aligners that are changed approximately every two weeks to gently and gradually reposition your teeth. The aligners are comfortable and can be removed so you can eat and brush your teeth as normal. Since the aligners are made from a transparent plastic material, they’re hardly noticeable. You can achieve the smile of your dreams without anyone even knowing that you’re wearing braces!

Bridge:
A bridge, sometimes called a Fixed Partial Denture, is one option sometimes available to patients who are missing one or more teeth.  Unlike a Removable Partial Denture, a bridge is cemented and can only be removed by a dentist.  Bridges are an excellent way to replace missing teeth and alleviate stress caused by tooth loss.  They can be made from several different materials, including gold, alloys, and porcelain.  A bridge usually consists of two crowns that go over two anchoring teeth (abutments) that are attached to artificial teeth (pontics) in between to fill the missing space created by tooth loss.

Crown:
A crown is recommended when an implant is placed or when a tooth is worn, broken, or weak.  A crown can restore a tooth back to its original shape and size.  Crowns can be beneficial to teeth by making them stronger and more esthetic.  Like bridges, crowns can be made from several different types of materials to resemble and match your natural teeth and give you a beautiful, long, lasting smile.

Implants:
Implants are an alternative to bridges and removable partial dentures, and are the best option available to those who are candidates when replacing missing teeth.  A patient must have healthy gums and adequate bone support in order to have an implant placed. Unlike bridges, teeth on opposite sides of the space do not have to be cut down in order to replace the missing tooth.  Implants are also beneficial in preventing bone loss, as after a tooth is lost, the bone starts to shrink away.  They offer stability and feel most like a natural tooth because they are placed below your gums and fuse to the bone.  After adequate healing time, a crown is then placed over top of the implant to complete the restoration.  Implants are very successful, and in most cases, last longer than any other restoration available.

 Hybrids:
A hybrid is a special type of implant supported denture that allows those who have lost their teeth and bone to function like people with a natural dentition. This type of restoration requires multiple implants to be placed in the jawbone. A custom made hybrid denture will then attach to the implants. Your dentist will remove them once a year for cleaning and maintenance, but it is not removed daily like a traditional denture or locator overdenture. Since hybrids are “fixed” and much less bulky, they feel very natural. Eating is a much more enjoyable experience as the limitations experienced with dentures aren’t there. This allows patients to regain their confidence because they don’t have to worry about their dentures slipping, getting sore spots, or using anymore adhesive.

Overdentures:
Locator dentures, unlike traditional dentures, are anchored by implants for better function and stability. Implants are placed into the jawbone and after a healing period determined by your doctor, a custom locator denture is fabricated which will “snap” onto the implants for increased retention. A locator denture can be removed daily to ensure proper cleaning and maintenance. Locator dentures may eliminate the need for adhesive and allow you to eat better. Locator dentures are an affordable option for those who want more out of their dentures.

Dentures/Removable Partial Dentures:
These appliances are made for people who have either lost all or some of their teeth due to periodontal disease, tooth decay, or trauma.  When a person is missing multiple teeth, support of the facial muscles is lost, and can make a person appear much older than what they really are.  Dentures and partials can be made to closely resemble natural teeth and can benefit both your appearance and your health.  Your dentist will make models and take measurements of your mouth, and through a series of appointments, make an appliance that is custom fit just for you.

Veneers:
Veneers are an excellent way to fill gaps, change the shape, alignment, and color of the front teeth.  They require a small amount of enamel to be removed from the front surface of the tooth and then a thin porcelain shell is custom made and bonded to the tooth.  They can achieve outstanding improvements in one's smile, and if taken care of properly, can last many years.

Extractions:
Sometimes a tooth is extremely damaged or broken and cannot be saved, thus requiring removal.  Most simple extractions can be done here at this office using local anesthesia.  If a tooth is severely compromised, impacted, or has had a root canal, however, your dentist may choose to refer you to one of our local Oral Surgeons.

Tooth Whitening:
Tooth whitening (bleaching) can be a very cost effective way to a dazzling new smile.  A simple and quick in-office product application is the first step to brighter teeth.  A custom bleaching tray will be fabricated for at-home use for approximately a week and for touch-ups.

Root canals:
When a tooth becomes infected or the nerve dies, a root canal and crown (in most cases) are indicated in order to save the tooth.  If left untreated, a very painful abscess can occur, and if left too long, bone loss and subsequent tooth loss will result.  Most simple root canals in front teeth can be treated in this office, however, if the tooth is a back tooth or has been previously treated with a root canal before, a referral will be made to an endodontist (a root canal specialist).

Custom Athletic Mouthguards:
Adults and teens who participate in contact sports and high-impact recreational activities are at an increased risk of dental injury. Athletic mouthguards not only protect the teeth and soft tissues, but can also help prevent more serious head injuries like concussions.
